Removing the Chassis

The chassis is taken outside once again.

The crane arrives from Tunstead to lift the chassis

It has been stripped of virtually every component.

The ballast has all been removed

The crane is set up ready for the lift

First job is to set up a stand to rest the chassis on

… and the lift begins.

The chains are all attached..

The chassis is lowered onto the stands.

The axles remain on the tracks…
